"The Dinosaur", by Agusto Monterroso, is
wrongly considered the shorttest story in spanish language. It has only one
sentence with seven words (nine if we consider the two from the title).
Augusto Monterroso is one of the best short stories
authors. Humour and irony are usual in his stories. He said "The
Dinosaur" can be read and understood from many points of views.
In 2000 he won the Príncipe de Asturias de las Letras
Prize as recognition for his literary work.
This is a joke, not a short story. Its not even good but when you are famous and well established any fart of yours will be celebrated.
ReplyDeleteSe llama minificción, éste tipo de textos son mucho más complejos que un cuento normal y requiere la comprensión interpretativa al igual que la imaginación.
DeletePor cierto hay una minificción aún más corta que ésta y hasta a mi me hace dudar de los límites y características de la minificción. Es la siguiente:
